UINTAH COUNTY, Utah, Sept. 2, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Uintah County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a rollover crash about two miles north of U.S. Highway 40 on Sunday afternoon.
A news release from the sheriff’s office said the single-vehicle crash occurred at about 1 p.m. “in a popular off-road area known locally as Honda Hills.”
An older model Chevy Blazer was going up a hill when the tires lost traction and the SUV started sliding backward, the news release said. The driver then turned the steering wheel, which caused the vehicle to leave the dirt road and roll once.
A young child in the SUV was restrained with a seat belt, but the four adults in the vehicle were not wearing seat belts.
One adult was flown to the hospital as a precaution and was listed in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries, the news release said.
The other adults were evaluated at the hospital as a precaution.
