Four Men Posing As Police Officers Rob Home in Holladay
HOLLADAY, UTAH – May 12, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – Four men are still on the run after invading a home at 4215 South Holladay Blvd. Monday night.
According to Unified Police spokesman, Justin Hoyal, the four men, who are described as Polynesian, wearing black hoodies and bandanas around their faces, kicked in the basement door and forced the occupants, an adult male and adult female, to the ground. “The adult male suffered some minor injuries but was able to get up and run out the door with his cell phone and call 911,” said Hoyal. “As the male was running down the street, the suspects chased him but then disappeared before police could arrive.”
The suspects were armed, one with a handgun and one with a crow bar while one of the other men had a black bag. The fourth man stood mainly by the door. “This is a house with a basement apartment and the suspects came to the basement first, possibly knowing it is a separate residence than the upstairs,” said Hoyal.
Because the victim called 911 so quickly, the police were able to respond in a short amount of time and set up barricades. “They brought in a K-9 as well but we are pretty certain the suspects escaped to a car nearby and were able to get away before police arrived,” said Hoyal.
Hoyal said the suspects are considered dangerous to the public. They are if anyone has any information that could help in the investigation to contact Unified Police at (801) 743-7000.
