FRUIT HEIGHTS, Utah, March 8, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Residents summoned emergency responders at about 5:20 a.m. when they saw smoke, according to officials.
The Kaysville Fire Department responded to the residence, near 593 N. 1400 East.
Firefighters had to cut away the garage doors to reach the flames. Officials at the scene said it appears the fire began in the engine of a car in the double garage, then spread to the second car there, and to a car in the adjacent single garage.
Flames also spread to the structure and contents of the garages.
The main home, separated from the garage by a breezeway, did not sustain major damage.
No one was hurt in the incident.
