PROVO, Utah, Aug. 22, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Drivers are being urged to avoid roads in downtown Provo that are closed after a gas leak Wednesday morning.
Provo Police Department tweeted at 10 a.m. the leak is in the area of Freedom Boulevard and Center Street.
Center Street from University Avenue to 300 West and Freedom Boulevard from 100 North to 100 South are closed, the tweet said.
The roads will be closed until approximately 1 p.m., and westbound Center Street will most likely be closed until 3 p.m. or later, officials said.
The cause of the gas leak is not yet known.
