HAZMAT crews respond to gas leak in Salt Lake City, evacuations ordered

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Oct. 1, 2020 (Gephardt Daily) — The Salt Lake City Fire Department has responded to the scene of a gas lead at 734 S. 300 West.

The department tweeted at 11:14 a.m. about the HAZMAT response.

“Working Hazmat Incident,” the tweet says. “Adjacent structures evacuated. Awaiting Dominion Energy to secure the gas. Asking the public to avoid the area for approximately one hour.”
