10-year-old girl airlifted to hospital after head-on collision in Draper

DRAPER, Utah, Oct. 12, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A 10-year-old girl was flown to Primary Children’s Hospital on Wednesday night with serious injuries after a head-on collision in Draper.

Emergency crews responded to a report of the crash at Traverse Ridge Road at 700 East at around 7 p.m., according to a Facebook post from Draper Police Department.

Officials said a vehicle crossed the center line and struck another vehicle. Two adults and two children were taken to Intermountain Medical Center by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.

The multi-agency Collision Accident Reconstruction (CAR) Team is on scene at Traverse Ridge Road conducting the investigation with the use of flood lights.

Draper Police said traffic is shifted to one lane in each direction on Traverse Ridge Road, and that drivers need to take extra care and pay attention to the road.
