SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Dec. 14, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) — The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a winter storm warning for much of the state of Utah, including Salt Lake County.

Four to eight inches of snow are expected on the valley floors along the Wasatch Front over the next two days, with 12 to 24 inches accumulating in the mountains.

Hazardous driving conditions are predicted throughout the early morning hours Monday and will intensify into Tuesday.

Parleys Summit and the Wasatch Back will be especially challenging for drivers during the Monday morning commute.

The commutes Monday evening, and again Tuesday morning, are expected to be impacted, as well.

Drivers are being asked to give themselves more time to reach their destinations and to prepare a winter travel emergency kit.
