HERRIMAN, Utah, Feb. 7, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A 2-year-old boy suffered injuries to his arms after being run over by a vehicle in Herriman Wednesday morning.

The incident occurred in the area of 4600 W. Box Meadow Circle (14000 South) at approximately 11 a.m., when a 36-year-old man was picking his child up from pre-school, according to a tweet from the Unified Police Department.

After he had put his child in his car, a 2-year-old boy who had been on the front porch walked to the front of his vehicle and was struck by it as it began to move forward.

The child suffered abrasions to his arms. Because there was concern that he may have been under the car’s tire he was flown by medical helicopter to Primary Children’s Hospital.

The tweet added that officials are waiting for an update on the child’s condition from the hospital Wednesday afternoon.

Gephardt Daily will have more on this developing story as information is made available.
