Herriman field fire burning multiple structures; some residents ordered to evacuate

HERRIMAN, Utah, Sept. 15, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Multiple structures are burning in Herriman Saturday afternoon, and some residents face mandatory evacuation as a three-alarm field fire rages out of control.

A 2:15 p.m. Facebook post from the Unified Fire Authority announced the evacuations:

“MANDATORY EVACUATIONS in Herriman: All of high country 1. Evacuees can report to Butterfield Canyon Elementary.”

Hi Country Estates, phase 1, is located near 13100 South and 7600 West. Butterfield Canyon Elementary is at 6860 S. Mary Liezan Lane.
