FARMINGTON, Utah, July 7, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A hiker was transported by Intermountain Life Flight after falling some 30 feet into Hornet Creek near Farmington Saturday.
The hiker fell near a waterfall. Police were dispatched just after 10:20 a.m., according to Davis County Sheriff’s Office officials.
“30-year-old male fell up Hornet Creek today,” said a Facebook post from Davis County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue. “A huge thank you to Intermountain Life Flight for making short work of what would have been a long day.”
The Life Flight helicopter transported the hiker to McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden.
His condition is serious, but not life-threatening, officials said.
It’s not clear at this stage exactly what caused the man to fall.
