SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – August 4, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – Hillary Clinton, the front-runner for the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination, will be touching down in Utah tomorrow.
Clinton will land in Salt Lake City around noon and head for a private fundraising event in Park City. The former first lady and secretary of state isn’t planning any public events but Utah Democratic Party leaders are still happy to have her visit. They believe her quick stop here boosts involvement in the party and interest in the upcoming presidential contest.
So far, Clinton leads in the polls and often dominates the headlines for the Democratic Party. But there is speculation this week that Vice President Joe Biden might throw his hat into the ring and Senator Bernie Sanders, I-VT, has captured the interest of liberal leaning democrats.
Wednesday’s private event is hosted by Amy and Barry Baker and will cost those in attendance a minimum of $500 per person.
