Update: Driver who hit car in Park City Police station lot turns herself in

PARK CITY, Utah, Jan. 6, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — The driver involved in a hit-and-run accident in the parking lot of Park City Police Department just before Christmas has turned herself in.

Captain Phil Kirk of PCPD said the woman in her 20s is a Summit County resident, and the Summit County Sheriff’s Office will be investigating the incident.

Officials had posted on Facebook that they wanted to hear from anyone who recognized the driver or the vehicle or both in the video, which showed the accident that happened at 5:16 p.m. Dec. 23 in the front parking lot of the Police Department at 2060 Park Ave. The video has since been taken down.

About two minutes into the video, a white SUV is shown reversing hard into a black pickup truck. The driver of the SUV then gets out and appears to inspect the right front bumper of the black pickup truck, then gets back into the SUV and drives off. It appears there are no other cars in the parking lot.
