HOLLADAY, Utah, July 22, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A Holladay man is in custody after allegedly shooting his roommate several times early Friday morning, leaving him critically injured.
According to documents from the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office, officers responded to a shooting in the area of 1900 Delann Lane and found Darin Paulus at a neighbor’s residence with several gunshot wounds.
Paulus told officers his roommate, William Bowen, had shot him. Paulus was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Officers went to Bowen’s residence and took him into custody. Inside the home, officers observed two guns, and searched the home after obtaining a warrant.
According to the report, Bowen, after being read his rights, told officers he shot Paulus as he entered the residence. Bowen was transported to jail and booked without incident.
