Honda hits parked car, crashes into West Valley City house

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, Jan. 29, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are looking into whether a driver was under the influence Saturday night when his vehicle left the road and crashed into a West Valley City home.

Lt. Amy Maurer, West Valley City Police, told Gephardt Daily the crash happened at about 10:45 p.m., when an adult male was driving a Honda Accord southbound on 4800 West and went off the road.

The Accord hit a parked car, plowed into a chain-link fence, and finally came to a stop when it crashed into the foundation of a home at 4563 South.

Maurer said no one was injured in the crash, and police were waiting for the building inspector to come and determine the extent of the damage to the house.

She said officials were investigating the incident as a possible DUI.
