HOOPER, Utah, April 29, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — A Tuesday night fire in Hooper destroyed one vehicle, damaged a second, and marred a nearby structure with radiant heat.
Weber Fire District was called to the scene at 8:20 p.m.. Automatic aid partners Roy City Fire, North View Fire, Clinton City Fire and the Weber County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene.
“Crews arrived quickly to find a fully involved car, located outside but threatening a nearby structure,” the Weber Fire District statement says.
“Firefighters initiated fire attack and were able to obtain fire control quickly. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries.”
The scene was turned over to the Weber Fire District Fire Marshal’s Office for investigation. Initial estimates place damages at approximately $51,000, including loss to the primary vehicle, damage to a secondary vehicle, and radiant heat damage to the nearby structure.
