House fire in Ogden displaces 3, causes $80K in damages

OGDEN, Utah, Nov. 29, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A house fire in Ogden in the early hours of Thursday morning displaced three residents and caused approximately $80,000 in damages.

Ogden Fire Department officials said the blaze broke out at a home in the area of 1300 Lewis Peak Drive at approximately 1:10 a.m.

When crews arrived, they found a fire had started in the home’s attached garage and then spread to the attic of the residence.

Crews extinguished the blaze in around 20 minutes, officials said.

The three adult residents and the family’s dog were safely able to exit the home and no injuries were reported as a result of the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Gephardt Daily will have more on this developing story as information is made available.
