WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, Aug. 20, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — West Valley City Police have released the names of a man and woman who died in an apparent murder-suicide Sunday morning.
The man and woman who died from “apparent gunshot wounds” have been identified as Miraheta Skender, 49, and Samir Skender, 51, the WVCPD said in a Twitter post Sunday afternoon. The case is being investigated as a murder-suicide, officials added.
Police were called to a residence at 3171 S. Ivy Park Drive (3380 West) at about 4:45 a.m. Sunday.
When officers arrived they found a man and woman shot to death inside.
Police were originally called to the scene by a family member who discovered the bodies.
