SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Oct. 10, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah Department of Transportation has announced closures on Interstate 15 overnight in Lehi next week while work continues on the Technology Corridor.

A news release from UDOT said I-15 will have overnight directional closures in Lehi on Oct. 17 and 18 as crews place beams for the new 600 East bridge.

Southbound I-15 will close overnight between 2100 North and Lehi Main Street from 11 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17 to 4 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 18.

Northbound I-15 will close overnight in the same location from 11 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18 to 4 a.m. Friday, Oct. 19.

Lane closures will begin at 9:30 p.m. each night and all lanes will be open by 5:30 a.m. each morning. Drivers are asked to follow detour signs and plan extra travel times.

The $450 million Technology Corridor on I-15 started construction in the spring. The aim is to widen I-15 to six lanes in both directions between S.R. 92 (Timpanogos Highway) and Main Street in Lehi, UDOT said in a previous news release. This is the last remaining section of I-15 between Salt Lake City and Spanish Fork where the freeway is still only four lanes wide.
