Injured man turns up at hospital after shooting; Salt Lake City police investigating

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Sept. 19, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Salt Lake City police are investigating a shooting Thursday morning after a man arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound.

Police believe the shooting happened at about 2 or 3 a.m. in the area of 950 S. Redwood Road.

“At about 6:30 this morning, the man went to a local hospital with at least one gunshot wound,” Detective Michael Ruff told Gephardt Daily.

“That individual is stable and does not have life-threatening injuries.”

Officials are trying to determine what led to the shooting.

“We are still trying to figure out exactly what happened. We are several hours behind the incident,” Ruff said at about 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

“If anyone was out in the area of 950 S. Redwood Road at the time and could give us a call, that would be great.”
