CACHE COUNTY, Utah, Sept. 22, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — The Cache County Sheriff’s Office announced Saturday that an inmate who walked away from a work release program is now back in custody.
“We captured Erasmo Junior Garcia at a hotel. We’d like to thank everyone that helped with information or contributed to sharing the news of his escape,” the sheriff’s office posted on Facebook.
Garcia walked away from the work release program at Cache County Jail on Monday, according to an earlier Facebook post from the sheriff’s office.
He was initially sentenced for possession of a controlled substance and a probation violation, the post said. He is now facing a third-degree felony charge of escape.
