IRON COUNTY, Utah, Dec. 13, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — The Iron County Attorney’s Office has announced the sentencing of Vladimir Boss after his conviction on charges of domestic violence and possession of a firearm by a restricted person.

“Vladimir Boss was sentenced to serve up to seven years in the Utah State Prison,” the Iron County Attorney’s Office said in a news release. “The Utah Board of Pardons will ultimately decide how long Boss will serve.”

The Iron/Garfield/Beaver Narcotics Task Force discovered illegal drug and gun activity taking place at Boss’s residence in Cedar City, and arrested him in October, the release says.

“At around the same time, officers with the Cedar City Police Department had been investigating separate domestic violence assaults involving Boss. The Iron County Attorney’s Office brought charges from both incidents.”

Iron County Attorney Chad Dotson stated, “Proactive police work on the part of CCPD and the Task Force help root out criminals in our community. Their efforts are critically important to keeping Iron County safe. I am pleased that this case resolved quickly, and that Vladimir Boss will be removed from our community for the next several years.”
