ST. GEORGE, Utah, Dec. 29, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are at the scene of a Saturday night road rage incident in which at least one shot was fired.

The incident, in the area of South Main Street, was called in at about 7:30 p.m., St. George Police Sgt. Tiffany Atkin said.

“It started with an issue between drivers,” Atkin told Gephardt Daily. “Then an occupant in one of the vehicles shot the other vehicle. No one was injured, but there was property damage.”

Scanner traffic indicated that SWAT had been called to the scene, however, no details on that were immediately available.

One male has been detained, Atkin said, and police are still on scene as the investigation is still in the early stages. The public is advised to avoid the area.

Gephardt Daily will update this developing story as more information becomes available.
