SAN JUAN COUNTY, Utah, Jan. 21 (Gephardt Daily) — Numerous Law Enforcement officials are on the scene around the Recapture Reservoir, north of Blanding along Highway 191, after a man and woman suspected in a vehicle theft fled on foot.
“Two individuals (1 male, 1 female) fled from the scene on the north side of the reservoir after stealing a vehicle from Monticello,” a statement from the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office says. The post was issued at 6:53 p.m. Tuesday.
“The individuals are on foot. We ask that the public avoid the area if possible, DO NOT pick up or stop for hitchhikers or anyone on foot, and to report any suspicious activity in and around the area.”
The agency added that “More information will be provided here as it is received, to include a better physical description of the individuals involved.
