SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, April 1, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A juvenile was transported to an area hospital after being hit by a car in Salt Lake City Sunday afternoon.
The incident occurred when several juveniles were crossing 2100 South at 900 East at approximately 4 p.m., the Salt Lake City Police Department said in a news release.
“Most of the juveniles were in the crosswalk, however one of the kids was outside of the crosswalk and was struck by a vehicle,” the news release said. “The driver stated they had been unable to see the victim around a large truck which had stopped for the juveniles.”
The victim was transported to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The incident is under investigation but it doesn’t appear at this time that speed or impairment were factors.
