Latter-day Saint missionary from Utah dies while serving in Dominican Republic

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, Utah, Feb. 20, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from Hyde Park has died while serving in the Dominican Republic.

“It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of a young missionary serving in the Dominican Republic Santo Domingo East Mission,” Church spokesman Daniel Woodruff said in a news release.

Elder Brennan Conrad, 18, died Wednesday morning after falling from the roof of his apartment building.

“Elder Conrad is from Hyde Park, Utah, and had been serving since August 2018,” the news release said. “Our deepest condolences go out to his family. We pray they will be comforted as they deal with this tragedy and mourn Elder Conrad’s passing.”

No other details of the incident were released by officials.

Hyde Park is north of Logan, in Cache County.

  1. I do not know them, but my heart goes out to the Conrad family. I am certain this fine young man is happy with the Lord. And how blessed to be about the Lords work. Hugs and prayers to all!
