LEHI, Utah, June 8, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) -- A 14-year-old girl struck by a vehicle outside the Lehi Rodeo grounds on May 30 has died from her injuries.
The victim, Jenna Sharp, was identified by a GoFundMe account, established by a family friend, with the stated purpose of helping pay for Jenna's medical care.
"After days of heartbreak, prayer, and unimaginable sorrow, Jenna has passed away," an account update says.
"Surrounded by her family, she gave the most incredible gift — the gift of life. In one final act of pure selflessness, Jenna became an organ donor, potentially saving the lives of six people and improving the lives of dozens more.
"Her brave and beautiful spirit lives on in those she helped, and her legacy of love will never be forgotten."
On the night of the incident, Jenna was leaving a youth dance organized to include several congregations of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The dance was held on the Lehi Rodeo grounds.
When the dance ended at 10 p.m., Jenna "was leaving a youth dance and crossing the street to be picked up when she was struck by a passing car," the original post on the GoFundMe page says.
"She was airlifted to Primary Children’s Hospital with severe brain injuries," and was placed on life support.
"Jenna is deeply loved by everyone who knows her," the earlier post says. "She is loyal, kind, spunky, and full of light. She lives with her whole heart — passionate and caring. Her warmth and vibrant spirit have touched so many lives."
As of Sunday morning, June 8, more than $17,700 had been raised. As in all cases, Gephardt Daily cannot guarantee funds will be used as stated. To view the account for yourself, click this link.
