VIDEO: Memorial For 12-Year-Old Murder Victim Kailey Vijil
WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH – July 19, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) –
A solemn ceremony Sunday night in West Valley City where a grief stricken community is coming to grips with the murder of a 12-year-old girl.
Kailey Vijil was found dead in a horse pasture around 3 a.m. Friday, less than a quarter mile from her family’s home.
Police say she had been lured there by a 15-year-old neighbor boy who has since been arrested on homicide charges.
Sunday night hundreds gathered to remember the little girl who police say was merely an innocent victim – a good natured child – fooled by someone with evil intent.
