LOGAN, Utah, Sept. 26, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — “No tax dollars were harmed in the making of this film.”

So begins the Layton Police Department’s entry in the lip sync challenge, an unofficial movement in which police and other agencies create a video to showcase themselves and their community service while mouthing the words to popular songs.

It’s also a chance for departments to poke fun at themselves, and have fun doing it.

Local agencies that have posted their best efforts — listed here with links — include the Salt Lake City Police Department, Weber County Sheriff’s Department, Murray Police Department, and Roy Police Department.

“Well, without further delay, we present to you our take on the lip sync challenge,” says a post that went up Tuesday on the Logan City Police Department’s Facebook page.

“We had a blast making this and hope you enjoy our way of humanizing the badge! Here we go…….!”
