CACHE COUNTY, Utah, Sept. 25, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — An employee of a Logan gym was arrested Monday after a woman reported that she had been recorded while undressing in a tanning booth.
Officers were dispatched to Planet Fitness, at 981 S. Main St., after a 19-year-old woman claimed she had observed an unknown person holding a phone over the gap between the tanning booth wall and ceiling.
“The area where the victim claimed she saw the phone recording her is an area only accessible by employees of the establishment,” according to a probable cause statement filed by an officer with the Logan Police Department.
At the time of the alleged incident, only one employee was on duty, the statement says, and the employee was 31-year-old Tyson Hadfield.
Hadfield was interviewed about the incident and, according to the charging document, he admitted that he had intentionally filmed the victim while she was naked from the waist up.
“Tyson showed officers how he had used a chair and mini fridge to prop himself high enough to gain access to the gap between the wall and ceiling,” the document says.
Hadfield was arrested and charged with voyeurism.
