LOGAN, Utah, Dec. 26, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Logan police have identified the young father killed Sunday when a driver, reported to be driving drowsy, crossed into his lane and caused a head-on collision.
The man killed was 29-year-old Devin Seamons, who was traveling with wife Jordin and baby daughter Lyla.
A GoFundMe account saying it will benefit Jordin and Lyla has been established.
“We lost a very special person, Devin Seamons, on Dec 23rd,” the GoFundMe post says.
“Devin and his family were travelling to Salt Lake for Christmas activities when their vehicle was struck by a drowsy driver. He left behind his wife, Jordin, and daughter, Lyla. Devin and Jordin were an amazing couple who loved each other fiercely and adored their little Lyla.
“Devin’s family deserves the very best care, love, and support in order to get through this devastating time. If you’d like to help Devin’s family as they navigate the future without him, you are welcome to make a donation here. With a little one at home, Jordin has many daily, monthly, and yearly expenses that will quickly add up, and we want to make sure she can focus on her health and happiness rather than expenses for the foreseeable future.”
The accident happened at about 1:30 p.m. Sunday on U.S. 89 and 2200 South, and caused Seamon’s SUV to roll.
The woman’s name has not been released. She and her four passengers, also in an SUV, all were transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries that were not life-threatening, police said at the time.
Charges have not yet been filed, but likely will be, officials said.
Gephardt Daily cannot ensure money donated will reach the intended beneficiary, but comments posted do indicate the person who established the account is a family member.
