SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Oct. 24, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A 25-year-old man has been charged with two counts of first-degree felony murder, accused of killing two acquaintances in Magna in August 2015.

Brandon Beau Warren was charged Monday in 3rd District Court with the two counts of murder, along with 11 felony firearm charges. Beau is accused in the deaths of Stevan Ryan Chambers and Shelli Marie Brown, both 26.

Both Brown and Chambers died from gunshot wounds, according to the Unified Police Department.

Early on Aug. 17, 2015, Chambers, a graduate of Kearns High School and longtime Magna resident, was found in the middle of the street at 8941 W. 2600 South, Magna.

Two days later, police in Magna were called to Copper Park, 9075 W. 2900 South, at about 10:20 a.m., where a woman who was walking her dog had reported seeing a woman lying on the ground. Brown was found in the park’s baseball stadium. Officers immediately closed down the park for an investigation.

Police later confirmed that both victims were associated with the same people and hung out in the same social circle.

An initial court date for Warren has not yet been scheduled.

Warren’s bail is set at $2 million, according to the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office.
