WEBER COUNTY, Utah, Jan. 5, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — The Weber County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents of a scam that has been taking place in North Ogden and beyond.

Realtor Corey Hadley originally posted the video on Facebook, with the following message:

“Watch out for this scam. This took place at a home I just sold in North Ogden. Look close, it’s a female wearing a mask. They leave a missed delivery notice and when you call for your package they ask for a bunch of personal info and steal your identity. They seem to be targeting new home owners but it has happened to others. Please share so everyone is aware!”

The video and pictures were then shared by WCSO. Comments on the post by Hadley point out the scam is also taking place in Colorado.
