UINTAH COUNTY, Utah, July 3, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A fire, called the Maine Fire, was reported Tuesday evening burning above the Vernal Rod and Gun Club, and residents in the area were being evacuated.
A later Facebook post from the Uintah County Sheriff’s Office said the residents near the Rod and Gun Club were being allowed to return to their homes.
Those living on 3400 North and 2500 West are still under the evacuation order.
Crews are battling the fire, and roads in the area remain closed to the public.
