Man, 68, dies after fall at Arches National Park

MOAB, Utah, Oct. 9, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — A man visiting Arches National Park has died after a fall of about 30 feet near Black Arch Overlook.

Rangers were alerted late Tuesday morning to a report of CPR in progress.

“Personnel from Grand County Sheriff’s Department, Grand County EMS, Classic Air Medical, and Department of Public Safety also responded,” a National Park Service statement says.

“Resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful, and the 68-year-old male patient from Paramus, New Jersey was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

“Grand County Sheriff’s Office and the National Park Service are investigating this incident.”
