SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Nov. 28, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A man has been booked into jail for two counts of aggravated assault after he allegedly broke a Salt Lake City motel window with an ax then threatened a nearby man and woman.
The suspect has been identified as Eric Jones, 27, the Salt Lake City Police Department said in a news release.
The incident occurred Tuesday evening in the area of the Alta Motel at 1899 State St. just after 7:40 p.m.
“A male broke out a window with an ax at the Alta Motel and then threatened a man and a woman in the area,” the news release said.
Multiple officers and K-9 units searched the area and the suspect was taken into custody without incident and booked into jail.
