ST. GEORGE, UTAH – October 22, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) A St. George man was critically injured after falling 50 feet from a cliff in St. George Wednesday night.
According to Washington County Sheriff, the 19-year-old man was climbing in the cliffs behind a residential area when he fell about 50 feet. He was able to use his cell phone and call 911. Deputies with the Washington County Sheriff’s office and medical staff from the St. George City Fire Department responded to the call.
Deputies said they were able to ping his exact location and were able to get him down from cliff where he was then transported by medical helicopter to the local hospital in critical condition.
The cause of the fall is not known at this time as the incident is still under investigation.
