SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, April 17, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A man thought to be in 20s is in extremely critical condition after a rollover accident on I-215 early Monday morning.

Utah Patrol Sgt. Zach Randall told Gephardt Daily, the victim — whose name has yet to be released — was driving northbound near the California Street off ramp when he rolled his SUV around 3:30 a.m.

Investigators say the vehicle rolled at least once before coming to rest after clipping a light pole.

The UHP says the driver was ejected from the car and suffered life-threatening injuries. He was flown by medical helicopter to the Intermountain Medical Center in Murray.

The cause of the rollover is under investigation.
