Man critically injured in Taylorsville single-vehicle crash

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah, August 5, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A 22-year-old man was  transported to the hospital in extremely critical condition Monday evening after his car crashed into a tree on 6200 South.

Sgt. Melody Gray, with the Unified Police Department, told Gephardt Daily the young man was driving eastbound on 6200 South when, for an unknown reason, his vehicle left the road and ran into a tree.

Gray said he was transported to Intermountain Medical Center in extremely critical condition. He was the only occupant of the car, and no other vehicles were involved.

The crash analysis reconstruction team (CART) is on scene assisting with the investigation of the accident.
