MILLCREEK, Utah, March 1, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Police investigators are searching for the suspect in a Millcreek apartment stabbing which left the victim in critical condition Thursday night.

Unified Police Lt. Paul Barker told Gephardt Daily officers were called to an apartment complex at 900 East 3365 South about 10:30 p.m. When first-responders arrived they found a male in his 30s with a knife wound to the back.

The victim, whose name was not released, was rushed by ground ambulance to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray in critical condition.

Witnesses told police the victim had arrived at the apartment complex to give someone a ride when he was attacked.

Barker said it appears the attacker and victim know each, but the nature of their relationship was unclear.

The alleged assailant was described as a man in his 30s.

Police say the suspect, who they believe lives in the apartment complex, escaped on foot.

Gephardt Daily will update the story as more information becomes available.
