MILLARD COUNTY, Utah, July 20, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A 62-year-old man was killed Friday in a two-vehicle crash on State Route 6 in Millard County.

According to a UHP news release, the man was driving a blue Dodge pickup truck north on State Route 257. As he approached the intersection with SR-6 he crashed the stop sign and drove into the intersection at full speed.

Another Dodge pickup, this one pulling a trailer loaded with horses, was westbound on SR-6.

The northbound pickup struck the westbound truck and trailer “completely severing the trailer in half and spilling the horses onto the road, killing two and seriously injuring at least one other,” the UHP statement said.

The driver of the blue pickup has been identified as Milford resident Randy Haddenham. Troopers say was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene.

No details were provided about the condition of the driver of the truck that was hit.

SR-6 was closed during the investigation.
