Man in custody following bank robbery in Ogden

OGDEN, Utah, June 5, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Ogden police took a man into custody after a bank robbery Tuesday afternoon.

Ogden Police Department posted on Facebook the robbery occurred just after 12:10 p.m. at Wells Fargo at 4301 Harrison Blvd.

“The suspect fled the scene prior to the officers’ arrival,” the post said. “The suspect presented a note which demanded money. Once the suspect had the money in hand, he fled southbound on Harrison Boulevard in a green dodge pickup truck.”

Tuesday at approximately 11 p.m., Kerry Jason Maw, 48, was taken into custody by Ogden Police Department Major Crimes detectives. He was booked into the Weber County Jail and charged with the robbery.

The investigation is ongoing, officials said.
