Man in serious condition after hit-and-run in Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, March 4, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A man is in serious condition after being hit by a car in Salt Lake City Saturday evening.

The incident occurred in the area of 200 S. Regent St. (150 East) just before 9:10 p.m., the Salt Lake City Police Department said in a news release.

“A 64-year-old man was crossing in the crosswalk at this location when he was struck by an unidentified male driver who was travelling westbound on 200 South,” the news release said. “The vehicle left the scene continuing west on 200 South and was described as a dark-colored sedan or small SUV.”

The victim was transported to a local hospital in serious condition.
