SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah, June 14, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — One man was taken to the hospital Wednesday afternoon after his SUV was struck and rolled.
According to Officer Gary Keller, South Salt Lake Police Department, a 50-year-old man had been driving a blue SUV eastbound on Interstate 80 when he exited onto State Street, and was hit by a southbound vehicle, a tan passenger car.
The victim was taken to the hospital with an arm injury caused by the rollover. The accident was reported at 3:07 p.m., Keller said.
“The tan car failed to stop at a red light, causing the roll,” Keller told Gephardt Daily. “As a result of the accident, northbound State Street was blocked from 2700 South to 2500 South, and was just cleared” at about 5 p.m.
