KANARRAVILLE, Utah, April 22, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A Millard County Sheriff Deputy was killed and his wife seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on I-15 Friday afternoon near Kanarraville.

Utah Highway Patrol said Brett W. Nielson, 50, and his wife Angie Nielson, 49, of Delta, were headed north on I-15 on a 1995 Harley Davidson just after 4 p.m., when his motorcycle started to wobble and left the roadway.

Troopers said Nielson had just passed a vehicle in another lane then changed lanes in front of the vehicle when he lost control. The motorcycle rolled several times and both Nielson and his wife were ejected.

Nielson sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. His wife was flown by medical helicopter to Dixie Regional Medical Center in serious condition.
