Man ‘possibly impaled’ after driving golf cart into tree in Holladay

HOLLADAY, Utah, Sept. 24, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A man has been rushed to the hospital after police say he drove a golf car into a tree and was “possibly impaled.”

Detective Chuck Malm, Unified Police Department, told Gephardt Daily that officers learned of the incident at 3:54 p.m. Monday, and responded to the Old Mill Golf Course, at 6080 Wasatch Blvd.

“He crashed a golf cart into a tree and was possibly impaled,” Malm, said. “He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.”

The man’s condition later was upgraded to fair, Malm said.
