WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, Jan. 27, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Police say a man robbed Metro PCS on Friday evening, and escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The robber, who had his face covered with a bandanna, entered the shop at about 8 p.m., according to Lt. Jeff Conger, West Valley City Police Department.

“The man pointed a handgun at employees, was given cash, and fled on foot,” Conger said. No shots were fired, and no one was injured.

Police responded to the scene, at 3040 W. 3500 South.

“Officers were not able to locate him or any leads,” Conger said.

The man was wearing a gray hoodie, jeans, and a black backpack.

The quality of surveillance photographs was low, Conger said. It has not yet been determined if images will be released to the public in hopes of generating leads.
