Man stabbed in Summit County after responding to Craigslist ad

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah, Oct. 29, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A man was stabbed in Summit County Monday after responding to a Craigslist ad for house cleaning services.

Summit County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from a 63-year-old man in the Pinebrook area at 4:08 a.m. Monday. The man said he had been stabbed and beaten by another man wearing a mask.

Summit County deputies learned that the victim responded to a Craigslist advertisement for a woman offering house cleaning services, the news release said. The woman showed up to the victim’s home around 1 a.m. Monday.

“Shortly after arriving, the woman’s husband entered the residence and began to beat and stab the resident,” the news release said. “The man was stabbed multiple times and received extensive injuries to his face. The pair then fled the area.”

Later in the day, Sheriff’s detectives located and arrested Salt Lake City residents, Steven D. White, 42, and Amber Lynn Lands, 37.

White was booked into the Summit County Jail on a charge of aggravated burglary, a first-degree felony and aggravated assault, a second-degree felony.

Lands was booked into the same jail on a charge of burglary, a second-degree felony.
