CACHE COUNTY, Utah, Sept. 5, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — The Cache County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an auto-pedestrian incident Sunday afternoon in Trenton.

The pedestrian was struck by the vehicle in the area of 107 North and 100 West.

Lt. Bartschi, with the sheriff’s office, told Gephardt Daily it appears there was “a dispute” and the male pedestrian pulled a knife on the male driver prior to being hit by the vehicle.

Bartschi said very little information is available beyond that, and he was unable to provide any other details on Sunday.

“We’re still gathering the facts,” Bartschi said. “We’ll be collecting all the data from both individuals, and that information will be turned over to the county attorney’s office.”

Gephardt Daily will update this developing story as more information is released.
