TAYLORSVILLE, Utah, Jan. 15, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Police responded to a Wendy’s restaurant Monday night after a man in a mask demanded fast cash instead of fast food.

Unified Police Lt. Manfred Lassig said officers were dispatched at 7:36 p.m. to the scene of the robbery, at 3988 W. 5400 South.

A man had entered the business and threatened the employee at the cash register. No weapon was seen, Lassig said, but the suspect implied that he had one in his pocket.

After getting an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled in a “silver, ratty-looking, beat-up car,” Lassig said.

The suspect was described as a light-skinned male in a black hoodie, wearing a mask.

Anyone who has any information about this incident is asked to call Unified Police at 801-743-7000.
