Police Seek Suspect After Aggravated Assault

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Dec. 28, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are looking for a suspect who brandished a knife at a woman when she was walking home, then forcefully took her purse.

Salt Lake City Police said in a press release the woman was walking home at about 6:50 p.m. Saturday when she was approached by a man at 1400 W. 600 North.

The woman told police she thought she had seen the man earlier in McDonald’s.

Officials said the suspect was holding a knife and demanded the victim’s purse, then grabbed it.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male adult, 6 feet tall, medium build, wearing a gray hoodie underneath a black coat, and wearing a multicolored bandana over his nose and mouth.
